For most people it depends on the type of wedding they are having and where it is located. You definitely don’t want to place chocolates on the table for a summer wedding reception that will be taking place outdoors. It is also nice if the wedding favors are something that can be used by the guests later on instead of something they will simply toss into a drawer later.

Picture frames make good wedding favors as they can take them home and use them. You can generally get some very nice picture frames even in the shape of a heart for a decent price. Chocolate seems to work well and you can either personalize the wrappers or simply go with an assortment of delicious chocolates at each place setting. You may opt to place a container of them in the middle of each table instead.
Many people like to make their own wedding favors from something very common. For example getting a personalized label with a picture of the couple and their wedding date to place on bottles of wine or sparkling punch is very popular.
